The gospel is the heart of who we are and what we do. The gospel is not merely the starting point of the Christian faith but is the means by which we continue to grow and mature in Christ. Moreover, we believe our lives individually and corporately should display the beauty and power of the gospel.
We seek to proclaim the gospel when we gather, continually apply the gospel to our hearts, help our brothers and sisters apply the gospel to their hearts and live out the implications of the gospel on a daily basis.
Our life together as a church is characterized by the reality that God has adopted us into his family. God is our Father, Christ is our elder brother and our fellow members are our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Spending time together is essential to who we are. We place a high value on our time together during our Sunday gatherings, member meetings and small groups. Through our church covenant we commit to loving, serving and caring for one another.
Every member of our church is a minister of the gospel and a missionary to our community. God has given spiritual gifts to every believer and calls us to use our gifts to serve and build up the church. He also calls every believer to participate in his work of spreading the gospel in order to make followers of Jesus.
We encourage every member to serve the body in meaningful ways so that our church will be healthy and vibrant. We also encourage every member to pray for non-Christians in their life with the hope that they will be able to share the gospel with them and invite them to our Sunday gathering.
God’s concern for the poor, vulnerable and oppressed is central to his character and nature. As a church family we desire to reflect the heart of God as we seek to serve those in need in our community and around the world.
We seek to share the love of Christ by serving others, helping to meet their basic needs and working for their well-being. In partnering with local and national organizations we give our time, energy, possessions and money to help people in need with the hope that they will know the love of the Father.
